Explanation:

Taxes affected the French Revolution since the country was split into two with rich being extremely rich and the power being extremely poor. Once taxes kept becoming higher the poor had had enough which lead to their rebellion and once they saw how the rich were feasting while they were starving it ignited their rebellion even more.
