Grams and kilograms are units of measurement
example; one paper clip weighs a gram often written as g for short. Once we have 1,000 grams, we have 1 kilogram. But then when things get even heavier we use tonne, so 1,000 grams=1 kilogram, then 1,000 kilogams= 1 tonne
